Give yourself permission to be a beginner:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You might not be great right away. Nobody is! Our first attempt at amigurumi<\/em> won\u2019t look like the impressive ones that go viral on Pinterest, and that\u2019s OK. \u201cWe tend to see the best of the best online,\u201d Reeves says. \u201cI mean, I\u2019m not uploading a photo of my first, very average attempt at knitting.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Make it social:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Join a craft club, swap recipes with a friend, or find a cozy online group. Another tip is to look for \u201cpaint-and-sip\u201d events or gardening workshops in your area.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Remember, your crafts don\u2019t have to be \u201cgood\u201d to be good for you.<\/em> \u201cIt\u2019s not about producing perfect results or making something to sell\u2014it\u2019s about creating just for the joy of it,\u201d Sharp says. \u201cIt\u2019s about stretching ourselves and taking creative risks in a safe way.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
