While there are amazing views at the more mainstream spots, as a townie here are some of the secret spots that I've discovered over the years that offer unique views as well:

river sand bars
Fairmont Park Boat Launch: This is one of my favorite locations to spend time at on the river from this boat ramp you can walk out on sand bars!
Tuttle Cove
Tuttle Creek Cove: Still apart of Tuttle Creek Lake, however this location offers an amazing waterfront view with free public access! This is a stunning location to view the sunrises and sunsets.
