    Created a three-panel website exploring different approaches to the design, customization, and user engagement of a website focused on the same subject. Each panel demonstrates how different features and customizations can influence the user experience. The project shows how a webpage’s foundation can evolve into distinct designs through changes in structure, styling, and visual direction.

    To create a three-paneled look at the same subject. The first panel focuses on creating a webpage with Bootstrap components. The second panel was recreated using the same page using a pre-created theme, and the third panel customized that theme for a unique webpage.

    1. Establish the concept by selecting a topic, visuals, and Bootstrap features to use.
    2. Build panel one with bootstrap to create the webpage using bootstrap elements using minimal custom.css to establish the color palette and typography.
    3. Apply a pre-designed theme by recreating panel one to explore how a theme can influence the overall design and structure.
    4. Customize the theme by recreating panel two and adding custom.css to adjust fonts, colors, and theme elements to create a more unique final design.

    Through this project, I explored Bootstrap elements and developed a responsive, mobile-first webpage. The process also allowed me to better understand how pre-existing themes and custom CSS can influence the visual design, typography, color, and layout of a webpage. By building across three panels, I was able to explore how different levels of customization can transform the same foundational design into distinct visual outcomes.

    Designed a movie poster reimagining the visual identity of a selected film through the conventions of its genre. The project combines photography, typography, color, texture, and layered Photoshop elements to create a cohesive visual composition that reflects the tone and themes of the film.

    Create and design a movie poster in Photoshop that effectively represents a selected film genre through its visual style, imagery, typography, and other elements commonly associated with that genre.

    1. Established the concept by selecting a movie to reinterpret and identified a central image to serve as the focal point of the poster.
    2. Explored different visual directions by using Photoshop to create several versions and mock-ups that experimenting with imagery, color palettes, and visual elements associated with the film’s genre.
    3. Developed the final design by selecting a direction and refined the poster by incorporating textures, cutouts, image overlays, and other Photoshop elements. Typography was color-matched to the imagery to create a cohesive visual composition.
    4. Prepare the final file by completing the design and exported the completed poster as a PDF.

    The final poster reimagines the visual identity of the selected film through a genre-focused design that combines imagery, color, typography, texture, and layered Photoshop elements. This project strengthened my ability to develop a visual concept from the initial idea through final execution while using Photoshop to create a cohesive and engaging composition.

    Designed an annual report highlighting the Wamego Public Library’s impact throughout the 2025 calendar year through snapshots of programming attendance, circulation statistics, and community use. The design draws inspiration from the new library cards adopted that year while incorporating the organization’s established brand colors and typography.

    To showcase the value and impact that Wamego Public Library offers the community of Wamego (and beyond) by combining usage statistics, photography, and descriptive content that illustrates how the community utilizes the different aspects of the library during the 2025 calendar year.

    1. Developed the page layout and visual structure based on established library branding guidelines
    2. Collected and organized usage statistics, program details, and supporting photography for each meeting space
    3. Designed a structured layout featuring multiple content blocks, imagery sections, and data highlights to balance storytelling with information clarity
    4. Integrated written content and visuals into a cohesive layout, refining spacing, hierarchy, and readability for print distribution
    5. Collaborated with staff during the review process and incorporated feedback to finalize the design

    Delivered a clear, visually structured annual report page that communicates the community impact of library meeting spaces and improves accessibility of usage data through visual storytelling.
